Jeff Rowland is moving up to West Michigan

Outfielder Jeff Rowland and relief pitcher Matt Little have been re-assigned from the Connecticut Tigers to the West Michigan Whitecaps.  Rowland hit .341 in 11 games as Connecticut’s center fielder and leadoff hitter.  Little had a 1.50 ERA with seven strikeouts in six innings pitched with Connecticut.

Starting pitcher Lance Baxter has been re-assigned from the Connecticut Tigers to the Gulf Coast League Tigers.  Baxter struggled in his two starts with Connecticut, posting a 10.50 ERA in six innings pitched.

Outfielder Les Smith and relief pitcher Tyler White have been called up to Connecticut to replace Rowland and Little.  Smith hit .368 with one home run and seven RBI in five games with the GCL Tigers.  White had a 16.20 ERA in 1.2 innings pitched for the GCL Tigers.
