Here is a look at the offensive numbers of some of the leading candidates for the New York-Penn League’s Most Valuable Player award.

Matthew Curry, State College Spikes

Curry leads the league in batting average, slugging percentage and OPS.

David Freitas, Vermont Lake Monsters
.390 AVG, .480 OBP, .552 SLG, 2 HR, 20 RBI, 2 SB
Freitas leads the league in on-base percentage.  He is second in OPS and tied for second in batting average.

Darrell Ceciliani, Brooklyn Cyclones
.390 AVG, .444 OBP, .558 SLG, 0 HR, 19 RBI, 14 SB
Ceciliani leads the league in triples.  He second in stolen bases and tied for second in batting average.

Cory Vaughn, Brooklyn Cyclones

Vaughn is tied for the league lead in home runs and runs batted in.

David Anderson, Aberdeen IronBirds

Anderson is second in the league in slugging percentage and third in OPS.
