Robbie Weinhardt finishes his rehab

Relief pitcher Robbie Weinhardt was activated by the Toledo Mud Hens Wednesday, ending his rehab stint with the Connecticut Tigers.

Weinhardt had a 2.25 ERA in four innings pitched with Connecticut.  He recorded five strikeouts and gave up two walks.

Weinhardt has been one of the top performers among relief pitchers in the Tigers’ minor league system the past three seasons, so his call to the big leagues could happen as early as this year.
