Daniel Fields and Chao-Ting Tang updates

Daniel Fields and Chao-Ting Tang were both promoted from extended spring training to the Lakeland Flying Tigers earlier this season.  One has had a hard time transitioning to advanced A ball while the other has barely seen the field.

Fields has been struggling, hitting only .129 with zero extra base hits in his last 10 games.  He has also struck out 15 times during that span.  Since Fields appears to be overmatched, it seems likely he will be sent down to Connecticut when the New York-Penn League season begins.

Tang has played sparingly for the Flying Tigers, having appeared in only 4 games.  He has gone 3 for 10 with a walk and a double in his limited playing time.  Like Fields, Tang is a good candidate to get sent down to Connecticut in time for the Connecticut Tigers opener, unless an injury to another player opens up more playing time at a higher level.
