Ryan Soares promoted to Lakeland
Middle infielder Ryan Soares was promoted from extended spring training to the Lakeland Flying Tigers Monday.
Soares, 23, appeared in 38 games with the Connecticut Tigers in 2010, finishing the season with a .220 batting average, .248 on-base percentage and .283 slugging percentage. He hit one home run and collected eight RBI during his time in Connecticut.
On defense, Soares committed six errors while splitting time between shortstop and second base.
He was the Tigers’ 36th round pick in the 2010 draft.

Can not believe Patrick Lawson was released! Who made that call. I guess bringing in Tiger families is more important than winning.
